Muth Jars..price
« on: June 23, 2012, 09:13:32 am »
I just received my 1lb Muth Jars and I have a question...What do you charge for your honey in 1lb Muth Jars and what color honey sells best in these jars...light or dark.  I' m thinking ahead because I want to do our local Christmas show this year.

Thanks,
Corinne

I tried the muth jars this year and sold 60 jars of spring at $15.00 ea. They sold out in 2 days at a small country store my cousin owns.I sold them with a honey dipper attached by a bow on the jar and a christmas hang tag. They looked really good, should have charged $20.00.  :-D

*sorry to resurrect an old topic*

Corinne, where did you get your Muths from?

I know Dadant carries them, but will not ship them. I think Blue Sky and Brushy Mountain, do too.

I got muth jars from Kelly's. Delivery was  free to the Arkansas state beekeeping meeting, where they were a vender.  After filling and corking, I inverted the bottles and dipped them about 3/4 inch in bee's wax.
