Hi from Calgary
« on: March 24, 2014, 02:34:57 pm »
Hi all,
great forum, I have been a Beemaster creeper for many years now and thought I better become a member. LOL
I have been a keeper of bees for 8 years and have progressed to 200 over wintered 5 frame nucs and going to raise the same amount of queens from my survivor/ non treated hives, if the bees will let me.
Found great information here as well as listened to Michaels pod casts and have gained much information on how keepers operate in other parts of the world. Now I hope to contribute with things I can pass down, some worked and some didn't but the knowledge gained from both sides of the fence is equally important .
Have a great day and see you on the forums!!
Mark in Calgary
 ;)

Yes!  You are in driving distance of the manufactory of a very good epe box.  I would love them but shipping would be prohibitive.

I use styro boxes and they are great for our cold winters and great for early build up. Mine are from Beaver plastics (Bee Maid store) but I also know the owner of the patent and used to get them straight from him. They are everything you have heard, I wouldn't go back to wood but are pricey!

Vance, you should just drive up and get them, I doubt there would be much in duty. I believe I paid 18.00 per box last year.

Welcome Mark.

I have visited Calgary several times. Beautiful city, Provence, and Country.
