I watched all of these, and was surprised at the twist at the season ender. But I have a problem with Shaky-cam shows, I'm just glad it isn't all aired that way or I'd be flipping the channel.

Tera-Nova I saw the first few weeks then lost interest, so I won't be missing it. But I really like Alcatraz and it hasn't gotten too twisty yet. A show I like but it gets too jumbled up is RINGER which last time I checked was on the fence to be renewed or not.

Well... now that American Idol is over and the wrong guy won again, that pretty well ends the shows, now all the Summer replacements can fight it out to see who gets picked up. I did see a lot of reality shows coming, and I only like two: Survivor and Big Brother, and yes I'll be spending the $39 for the live feed yet again for Big Brother. Some seasons are way more fun than others, but I can't help I have a voyeurism about me that keeps me coming back for more each year. Honestly though, I enjoy seeing human interaction and how whether they know it or not, people do become tribes and groups and leaders form early, as it does in Survivor and any real life situation.

Sadly leaders are often perceived not earned and rarely is their fall from the top of the heap a smooth one. Natural leaders who earn their way to the front rarely get sabotaged and rightfully so, they make it to the end of reality shows.

Oh, TV.... time to mark all the new shows in my TV Guide App (if you have a smart device) TV Guide is a great app, keeping track and notifying you of shows you've marked, even sorting out repeats so you don't get alerted when a show you have seen is on again.

I'm still catching up with Fringe, I'm at the episode where it is 20 years in the future and new characters are meeting up with old ones - this "new character" thing is called JUMPING THE SHARK a Hollywood term for trying to save a show by introducing new people into a strong group of main players or doing a 180 in the plot line. When most shows do that (like 2.5 men) you know their days are numbered.

i hear that Alcatraz and The Finder were both canceled.  i know at least one was replace with another mindless reality show.  i sure do hate those things.  guess i'm in the minority in what i find entertaining.....

Well Kathy, I'm in the minority with you.  I don't care for reality shows, either.

Regarding "The River", is it or is it not going to be cancelled?  I've seen heavy talk that it is/will be cancelled but I haven't seen anything definite.  I guess if it was cancelled the last show ended kinda with some closure...they ride around the amazon until the end of time seeing lots of freaky stuff. (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-shocked003.gif)

Unforgettable will be forgotten in a short period of time.  It is cancelled and had a very weak season finale.

Though the Mentalist is one of my favorite shows....it was another weak season finale if you ask me...sorry Jane.  I'll be looking to see how they patch this up this fall.

In my opinion the two NCIS shows both ended STRONG...and these weren't really my favorite shows.  Actually, I originally did not like the NCIS-LA show at all...but over time they converted...good character buildup.  With NCIS ending the season with the possibility that *any* of the characters (or all of them) could have been blown away it seems there should be lots of folks awaiting the new episode this fall.  It looks like NCIS-LA also has some complex issues with two of the main characters questionable.  Welll done on both shows in regards to season finales...both shockers.

The last regular show that I watch is Person of Interest.  This has grown to be my favorite.  I like the characters and the multiple story threads.  Good character development.  Good job of "leaving you hanging".

Ok, that was my tv show critique for the evening...everybody throw 25 cents into the hat.

Thank you. ;)
