Well I guess the willows are blooming now. I brushed by a young one while I was outside. I got back inside and looked at the arm that had brushed against it and it was covered in yellow pollen. Not just a little, but enough to make a part of my arm look lemon yellow until I brushed it off. Looks like the girls have plenty to eat. I was wondering what that shade of yellow pollen was that the girls were bringing in. Now I know.

What part of east central Missouri are you? Any where near Louisiana?

The bleep willows at least are done other willows are still providing a source. In our area the bees are foraging on apple blossoms and ornamental trees. Good time for swarms. LOL
