Flex, did you get your Georgia bees from Napoleon Bee Supply?
I mis spoke. Last year I got mine from Draper's PA. ( I was looking at some in Georgia) this year I ordered them from Dadant Hamilton IL. But they have a branch in Michigan so I don't know hoe that works...

Our State is really tough on bees. I ordered 3 more package bees, one from Michigan this time.

I ordered four more packages of Italians from Georgia and one ten frame hive of Carnies from up by Cadillac.
My last two were Italians from Georgia. I'm interested how your Cadillac bees will do.

Do you like the Carnies or Italians better?

I have only had Italians. They were ok when they were living!

I install 4 carnie packages last May and so far they have over winter very well. 2 of them are absolutely booming. I got all 4 packages from Turtlebee Farms is Byron, Michigan. I got 150 pounds on honey off them the first year 2016.

I dint even know what Carnies are but I work near Byron. I should check them out!

I might ask this in another thread but I'm starting a new hive tomorrow. I don't think these frames are deseased. I froze the ones with honey. Should I use these frames in the brood box to start the hive?

IMO the sooner you get them back in a hive with bees the better.  The darker one that had brood in them already would be ideal for the broodnest.  The ones with honey, I would put them on the outside edges or in a second box on top.

They are great people. They had Italians and Carniolans last year. I am real happy with them. They just sent me a special they are running on packaged bees 3 pound packages of Italians 100.00 and the carniolans were 120.00. They usually have extra package available for people who just walk in. I think the bee farm is in Cohoctah, mi not far from Byron
