Queen Rearing Class

I am looking to start raising queens this year.  Have read books and watched lot of videos, however would love a hands on class on how to increase my hives, raise queens, build up NUCs, etc.  A friend told me there was a guy in Mississippi that did this over a weekend.  I am looking to contact that person or someone closer to Charlotte, NC.  I am willing to travel, just need help getting started and getting the hands on training.  Can anyone suggest a path for me?
