The wife found a swarm today near the house, I just managed to get there before dark and get then in a box. First time I ever scooped them up with my hands.
I don't know who was more tickled, me or her!

i had one toda to. But after i put it in the 5 frame nuck, two hours later it was gone :?

It was dark by the time I got them in the box. Maybe they'll stay.

Glad to hear it. If you are afraid of them absconding on you, put an excluder in between the bottom box and the bottom board.

Are swarms attracked to beehives? I've never seen a swarm around here until after I got bees. This is the second one I've seen here. I'm pretty sure these didn't come from my hives, my bees are all yellow and these are almost black.

That's what I was thinking when I was doing it! The way they were wrapped around the tree, I couldn't figure out any other way to get them.
