Title: A Yorkshire Beekeeper
Post by: Andrew Tyzack on January 22, 2006, 04:31:44 pm
Hello,

I'm 35 and from the UK and live in Yorkshire, which is a large and proud part of England. I started beekeeping a year ago after my grandfather gave me his old homemade WBC hive. Soon I was being given hives of bees by retired beekeepers and being asked to catch swarms all over the place, and indeed being stung all over! I presently have 5 over wintering stocks. I've thoroughly enjoyed beekeeping and produced honey from rape(I think the US call it canola?), borage (or starflower) and heather. Which I sold in an 'honesty' stall at the bottom of my garden.

I'd like to introduce my honey bee drawings which have been inspired by my own bees:

These drawings are pencil on paper and about 2 x life size. If anybody's interested they can see some others on the following website:

I'm looking forward to reading the forums and would love to hear from Beemaster members.

Regards,

Andrew
