Fitting Chinese Flow frames in original Flow Hive
« on: May 29, 2020, 08:55:59 pm »
I have a couple of original Australian Flow Hives and some frames are starting to fail after four years of use. The timber is still usable and I?m glad I painted them well and fixed all the gaps before I put them in service.

Before giving up completely on the system I want to try the cheaper Chinese flow frames. They cost a fraction of the originals and reviews say that the recent ones are just as good.

7 original frames cost $Aud 650 delivered while 7 copies cost $Aud 180 delivered. There is no way a sensible man can justify the cost difference even if the original are flawless which are definitely not.

Does anyone know their dimensions and whether they fit in an original Flow Hive super?

Cheers Mike
