Oh I am going to sound old...but...I remember when ..UCD had a cool Bee Biology Department...I remember riding our bikes out there one night to visit a friend's boyfriend in the lab,  We watched him paint numbers on honey bees...very interesting..that was in...ummm...1972!

ucdavis used to have all kinds of great stuff.  later, when my brother was their IT guy, it seemed that they were not doing as much.  maybe there just aren't as many people interested in the rural studied kind of thing?

glad to hear that they are doing bees.  that, at least, ought to bring in some money for them.  CA is such a big produce producer.
