Title: Spraying the Pasture
Post by: Waveeater on May 31, 2018, 11:32:02 am
Any of you beekeepers out there use broadleaf spray on your cow pastures. I need to do some work on mine but do not want to take a chance on killing my bees. Need to get rid of some buttercups and other weeds. Any suggestions?

Have you tested the PH? In this area, lime may be all you need.

Have not but Lime is going to be used for sure. Trying to get all this lined up for the Fall and next spring. Glad to see your out of bed this morning.

I used to use weedmaster and spray at night, but I tried to do it before things bloomed.  Pull up the specs on your spray and see if it is toxic to bees after it is dry.
