Dumb question I'm sure, but how does one download a video from youtube ? Thanks in advance.

Not a dumb question at all. :)
If you use the firefox browser they have an extension to do that for you:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1-click-youtube-video-downl/
Otherswise google how to downlaoad youtube videos and find a helper application to assist you. Just watch where you download from as many sites will silently install toolbars and malware if your not careful what you allow as it installs.

I won't even look for one for Internet Explorer as I will not launch this browser on my computer.
