Didnt see all of it when it was on TV, managed to pick up a nice collectors edition for 40 bucks, thats 4 bucks an hour and a lot less than it cost to produce! so Im happy!

i don't like having films. the most joy and fun in movies/serials/shows is, you have to be at the TV set at the specific time. i could have an endless collection of movies but wouldn't probably bother to watch them, i consider every minute watching a movie at the computer a wasted one, as for tv...it's just...something else.
i watched the whole series, except for one part, and my mom told me it was a boring one anyway (the one they are in the woods hiding in their foxholes)
it really is a masterpiece, you can almost feel their feelings, pain and all.

  That is a rare thing these days. A war movie that doesn't get politically preachy. Just the simple story of a bunch of friends.
I was born about 100 years too early, or to late.

Loved it, bought it, and have watched it over and over again.

Buck Compton (actual WWII soldier in this group) just died 2 days ago.
