My bees are here! Am I in trouble?

Picked them up from fatbeeman. Had a good time and my dad got to go along. Funny thing, I got stung as soon as I got there. Don thought it was a yellowjacket. Either way, I guess I'm an official beekeeper now!

A couple of questions. I have two TTBH. I put in the five frames from Don and started the drive back. Everything looked fine. Stopped at Wendy's to get a burger. We didn't eat in as we were in a hurry but it took about 10 minutes to go in and out. When we came out there were 6-8 bees flying around. I couldn't find an opening but it worried me as I wondered how many had come out during the drive. Got home and set them up. Found that they were coming out from under the lid. There was small gap of 3/16" at best and they were flattening out and coming out that gap. My bars are tight but the frames from the nuc allowed them out.

I waited until it was cool and about an hour and a half before dark and pulled a plug to let them out. I probably didn't see 20 bees come out over the next 1/2 hour. The ones that did come out started flying in ever increasing circles. I assume orientation. I expected more bees to come out but didn't know if they would wait till morning. We peeked in both and there seemed to be a good many bees. Anyway, I wondered if we lost lots of bees on the 1 1/2 hour drive home. That would be bad.

Also saw some bees through the window. They were carrying white stuff that looked like gobs of wax. It was inbetween there middle legs. I figured they were building out comb.

Got some work to do on my hive and lots of learning but I'm very excited.

I'll keep you updated. I'm going to let them rest until this weekend and then add a bar or two to their space.
