Biotech for bees

How the hell can you cure CCD when you don't even know the cause? To this new company that doesn't matter let's just create vaccines for all the viruses. Isn't hat how super germs are created?

Actually no.  Vaccines are for viruses but don't directly attack them.  They work by (for lack of a better word) "training" you immune system to recognize the virus on initial contact so that it attacks it before it gets a chance to multiply beyond control.  They don't directly affect viruses and as such doesn't make super  versions.  Not that I'm a huge fan I random prophylactic vaccinations mind you.  It's the antibiotics and other drugs that are designed to directly attack the bacteria or other organisms(varroa being an example) that develop the resistant strains you mentioned.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
