Doak:

I think you'll really like it here, nothing much NOT to like really - we have text posting and text chat, voice chat, image hosting through Imageshack (you simple click on the browse and host image buttons at the bottom of every post screen and image shacks free service takes all our photos and hosts them on the web and we see them here. Also, video content hosted through www.zunibee.com or youtube can be seen through links and you even have a full BLOG feature, membership maps and even can be added to a swarm removal map if you do such things.

That, and all the various categories we have allow for members to express themselves here in many many ways - again I think you'll like it a lot!

Note to all new members

I'm always glad to see your posting a greetings post and updating your profile with your location and any other info you choose to share - it helps in creating this Internet Family of beekeepers and literally creates an online persona that we mentally picture yourself as.

If you have kids who are of beekeeping age, or old enough to enjoy talking to others in the 8 to 80 year old range - our Ventrilo Voice Chat is perfect for them. We have many younger members who enjoy talking about everything and the entire Ventrilo voice gang really enjoys nightly get-togethers for family friendly talks and online gaming.

Again, hopefully something for everyone, all these added features come in handy especially during those cabin-fever months when the bees are laid up for the Winter. But during these Late Spring/Early Summer nights, it is a great way to unwind after a tough day at work or in the bee yard. Sharing your stories, or asking beekeeping questions LIVE in a voice chat room is ideal for fast responce without the need to wait for answers and maybe make corrections and rewait.

Foremost we are a family friendly community - everything else comes at the members pace. You all will easily find that there is MUCH you can do here if you only try the various features.

You will never see advertisements here, and that is because of the generous members who have made our forum possible. We are in our second decade as a beekeeping forum and all thanks to member support. At the top right of every page is a donations link. Please help if you can.
