This past Monday Bailey and I went crabbing. We had a very good trip.
I made a video of the event filmed with my new Go Pro Hero 3 camera. Its very high definition. See if you can watch it in 1080 mode for best quality. I tried to view it with my older computer and it just couldn't process the video in 1080 mode. If that's the case with your computer select a lesser mode and it should work fine.
The amount of information these little cameras are capable of recording are pretty dang incredible. When I first began making movies with my Cannon FS 300 I didn't even realize it could film in HD. Now with the technology available my late 2009 iMac with 4 Gigs of ram can barely keep up. Taking forever to upload these movies now in 1080 mode. Just ordered 8 more gigs of ram to bring my computer to 12 gigs.
A little while back I had to purchase an external hard drive as I filled up all the space on my computer. I purchased a 2 TB device and was told that I would eventually need to either replace it or create a library of DVDs and clear some space.
Been using imovie to make my videos but down the road will be purchasing Apple's Final Cut Pro, which apparently is one heck of an editing program.
Where is this heading & where will it end?
I have no idea but I sure am having fun putting these videos together albeit they do require a good bit of time to make.
