I JUST HAD TO TELL SOMEONE
I live in the country and have seen what can happen to a mailbox.
but they didn't just hit it
they pulled it up by hand and left with it
this is really weird.
The good side of the story is that I was getting ready to replace it
so they did half the work for me anyway.
HAVE FUN

We use to have a big mailbox. It got plastered. The pole was bent over and the mailbox looked like a bomb went off inside of it. There was a license tag lying in the ditch along with some plastic grill parts. We could tell it came from a Dodge Pickup. The cops traced the tag number. Turned out the Pickup had been stolen in Lubbock that night.

Ares was hit last halloween by some girl, she bought us a new one. The good part of the story is that the other one was 15 years old :D

Well now that all the leaves are gone I found the mailbox!
it was thrown in the bushes.
cool part is I put up a new one and I put a hive around it
a bottom board, two deeps and a telescooping top.
it looks great!

I wonder if your postal worker is going to deliver your mail???
And another thought...
Leave the entrance open and maybe catch a swarm in the spring

they think its great and left me a note to tell me so.

that might change they're opinion

My wife is an RCA and thought it is hilarious! She would stop and take a picture if possibl;e!

Next time I have to replace my mail box I'm going to convert a deep 5 frame nuc. Mail during swarming season might be a bit sporadic.

Over the last twenty years we have had two nice boxes stolen post and all. Now just put up a plain Jane box on a fence post. No more problem.
