I own and run an IT Support company that specializes in supporting computers, server and networks for medical practices. However, I am also  bit of a redneck so my friends like to pick at me by calling me a high tech redneck. Thus.. Hi-Tech
Computer Tech, Beekeeper, Hunter = Hi-Tech Redneck

Our family ranch is the Crazy S Ranch. So obviously now that we raise bees, it seemed fitting. That and I am a bit on the Crazy side.

Guess it's just an obvious choice. I love in Carmel, Ca and have bees. (I may be the only bee keeper in Carmel by the Sea tho there are many in neighboring towns)
Eat well, travel often. Respect nature and other cultures. Ask questions and listen carefully to the answers - whether one agrees or not.

Hi Carmel Bee Lady

I love Carmel so much and make it a point to visit every summer.  There are so many flowers down there and I always wonder how the bees do with the changing weather.  Perhaps we can get together next time I come down to visit.

Would love to see your set up.

Take Care
Annette

Hi.
I was born and raised in West Texas. This is a very dry and hot area of Texas. The winds can reach 90+ MPH which causes sandstorms so bad you can not see.  This also causes what we call a dirt or dust devil. Looks a lot like a small tornado. So after getting turned down on user names I came up with WestTexasDustDevil.

Interesting question, as a new member and new to bee keeping bluroo identifies me as an Aussie.  It is also the name we have on our RV while touring.

I started with "Hive" and since "RickHive" didn't work any better than "HiveRick", and I know a pretty cool guy named "Clive"
CliveHive just seemed to work pretty well.  My avatar, one little primate, raging against the machine, is a reminder that nobody

Read an article that says chickens stay in the safe confines of their coop scratching the ground for a meager existence.  Eagles on the other hand, when a storm approaches, spread out their wings and soar far about the storm.  They also obtain the best views.

I would like to live my life soaring with eagles rather than scratching the ground for worms with the chickens...

Hence....
