Review: This is my second notebook PC and by far the fasted and nicest to use computer I have ever had, including the 3 desktop units I've owned. Graphics, such as Unreal Tournament on -line are smooth and skip free. Image refresh quickly and game play is a pleasure.

The 15.4 inch screen is breathtaking. The colors, clarity and refresh during all applications are perfect. The DVD Movie player is perfect and comfortable for several people to watch at the same time. The DVD is quiet and never lags during play. The combo DVD and Floppy Drive is well made and operates smoothly.

The notebook is almost eerily quiet while running. The Hard drive, which is to the front is extremely quiet while running and the processor fan only comes on during high processor uses, such as 3D gaming. The fan itself is also very quiet and rarely runs.

Battery life is about 3.5 hours when really driving the processor hard and almost 5 hours during regular computing or surfing the net. Recharge occurs both while using the external power supply and when the notebook is off. Average recharge is about 2.5 hours when PC is off and 3.5 hours while using the notebook.

The full keyboard is quiet, firm and full in size, making typing documents a breeze. A complete wrist rest area and touch pad are nicely place and very ergonomically positioned. Although I still use a PS/2 style mouse most of the time.

I rate the Dell Inspiron 7500 a 5 out of 5 stars. It really is a dream machine and I think worth the rather pricey $4200 that it cost. It's not as portable as many lighter notebooks. The 7500 weighs in at 10.5 pounds and a whopping 21 pounds with the leather case and accessories. But if you want the ultimate in power and quality, then you want to get the Inspiron 7500.

Any other Dell Inspiron owners, please write me and let me know how you like yours. Owning the BMW of the laptop work is fun. I have had fun with the portability of this monster. I've used it at work and portably at friends. It was a pleasure to show it off and that's a big part of owning a Dell, that's pride in the quality of craftsmanship. With that in mind, you can not buy a nicer computer than the 7500.
